RiverWired.com's popular "Green Tech" column.

Over the last four years, I have written about more than 2,000 endangered species around the world. Tragically, my job never sees a slow day. News about endangered species never stops, but hopefully we can take action to protect some of these species before they go extinct.

Since you write about endangered animals, I was wondering if you knew of any books/ articles/ publications that discuss endangered animals and what people are doing to try to help that is written more for a child. My daughter is 5 but reads at a 4th grade level and she loves animals. She slept with a huge animal encyclopedia book when she was only 2. And now she's started a project to raise money for WWF by selling bookmarks she designed so that she can "help them help save endangered animals". I didn't know about Panda Pages so I set her up with her own website:

She's always asking for more books, more information, etc., especially on endangered animals. Hoping you can recommend something. Thanks!
