Show your support for cleaner air
Dear WWF Supporter,

I am writing you today to ask you to lend your voice in support of cleaner air and a safer planet. Last month, the Environmental Protection Agency issued the first-ever carbon pollution standards for power plants in the United States. These common sense rules will limit the amount of dangerous carbon pollution that power plants can produce--pollution that is harming the health of our children, warming our planet, and threatening our wildlife.

Take Action Now

Climate change is one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time. It affects nearly everything we do here at WWF. By warming the planet and altering weather patterns, carbon pollution is threatening wildlife and wildlife habitat--whether in the forests of the American West, the melting ice environment of the Arctic, or the disappearing coral reefs of our tropical oceans.

By contributing to increased levels of ozone and smog, unregulated carbon pollution is also increasing the risk that more Americans will suffer from lung disease and other respiratory illnesses. Already, 154 million Americans are forced to breathe dangerous levels of air pollution.

You can help. The EPA is currently accepting comments in support of its proposed carbon pollution standards. These common sense rules are an important step in the right direction. However, powerful voices in the fossil fuel industry are working hard to prevent them from moving forward. A public groundswell of support will help to ensure that these new standards can go into force.

It's critical that we win this fight, and with your support we can. Already, 1 million people from across the U.S. have weighed in to support EPA's carbon pollution standards. With your help, we are aiming to double that number.

Help WWF fight for cleaner air and a safer environment. Please take a brief moment to submit your comments, and join 2 million voices in support of a better future.

Sincerely,

Carter Roberts
